Metallization wires
All types of metallisation wires are specially designed for use in both flame spray and electric arc metallisation systems. These wires are manufactured to high standards and are available in all common forms and diameters to meet a wide range of application requirements. For electric arc spraying, wires are delivered on durable plastic coils weighing between 7 and 20 kg, depending on the material type.
Zinc (min. 99.9% purity) provides coatings resistant to chemical and atmospheric corrosion, as well as fresh water immersion. It is also widely used for EMI/RFI shielding.
Aluminium (min. 99.5% purity) offers corrosion and high-temperature resistance, especially in saltwater environments, and delivers excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. It is not suitable for use in alkaline conditions.
Other available wires include babbitt, copper, nickel, brass, bronze, phosphor bronze, stainless steel, Monel metal, chrome, 13% iron alloys, and more — all chosen for their specific protective and functional properties.
