ASL1 Mineral Abrasive

ASL1 is a fine, synthetic mineral abrasive made from fused glass with aluminum silicate content. It is an environmentally safe product, compliant with ISO 11126-4 N/GS/G, and designed for high-precision cleaning and surface preparation. Its semi-angular glass grains are chemically stable, contain no free silica acid, and have an extremely low metallic iron content (under 0.1%). ASL1 is suitable for use in all common blasting systems and provides consistent performance across various industrial applications, particularly where surface integrity is critical.

Chemical composition:

  • Silicon dioxide (SiO₂): 42–58%
  • Aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃): 23–32%
  • Iron oxide (Fe₂O₃): 3–15%
  • Calcium oxide (CaO): 2–8.5%
  • Potassium oxide (K₂O): 0.5–4.6%
  • Chemically bonded metals (silicates or aluminates)
  • No free silica acid; water-insoluble components
  • Iron content < 0.1%

  • Bulk density: 1.05–1.4 kg/dm³
  • Mohs hardness: min. 6
