Garnet

Red Garnet is an eco-friendly natural abrasive, derived from almandine mineral, with a high reusability rate and free of metallic iron. With angular particles and high hardness, it provides aggressive blasting performance while maintaining a low level of dust generation. It complies with ISO 11126-10 N/GA/G and can be used according to BGR 500 Part 2, Section 2.24 for blasting equipment. Due to its iron content, it is not recommended for use on stainless steel or non-ferrous metals. Its physical and chemical properties make it ideal for industrial blasting and waterjet cutting operations.

  • HS 1: 0.10–0.25 mm
  • HS 2: 0.18–0.35 mm
  • HS 2+: 0.20–0.40 mm
  • HS 3: 0.25–0.50 mm
  • HS 4: 0.30–0.80 mm
  • HS 5: 0.50–1.00 mm
  • HS 7: 0.70–1.40 mm

  • Hardness: 6.0–8.0 on Mohs scale
