Elcometer 3092 Sclerometer Hardness Tester

The Elcometer 3092 Sclerometer Hardness Tester measures the hardness of a coating by drawing a tungsten carbide tip across its surface under a controlled, gradually increasing force. This test identifies the precise load at which the coating becomes visibly scratched or is destroyed, providing critical information for quality control and material evaluation.

The instrument’s body includes a cursor with a screw lock and a round tungsten carbide tip, actuated by interchangeable compression springs corresponding to four different force ranges:

  • Grey spring: 0–3N (0.671lbF)
  • Red spring: 0–10N (2.248lbF)
  • Blue spring: 0–20N (4.49lbF)
  • Green spring: 0–30N (6.74lbF, optional)

Precise, adjustable, and easy to use, the Elcometer 3092 Sclerometer Hardness Tester is the perfect tool for professionals who demand reliable coating hardness evaluation.
